Sustainability is meeting the needs of today without compromising future generations. In the fast paced world of construction this is a big ask but here at A.C. Beck we are trying to achieve the necessary steps leading us to a more sustainable future. This comes by imbedding good practise in the planning stages of all contracts so a simple but strategic path can be followed.

Bulk containers

A.C. Beck have been at the forefront with Dulux in developing bulk paint containers for use on lager sites to reduce packaging waste.

Paint can recycling

With Dulux, Crown and Johnstones we try and recycle as many empty cans as possible. Our target is to achieve 80% recycling by 2025.

Planet Mark

We have been engaging with Planet Mark to 'Benchmark' A.C. Beck, audit us and provide actions which we will be able to measure our development against.

Electric vehicles

A.C. Beck are in the process of replacing the fleet of diesel vans to electric. With increasing range and decreasing maintenance this is a 'no brainer'.

/ Family History

A.C. Becks longevity is attained by caring and understanding.

Established in 1953 by Aubrey Cecil Beck, A.C. Beck started out in the back room of a house in Sunningdale. 70 years later & employing over 45 people, A.C.Beck is now at the forefront of the painting industry in the South East & London.

1953

From his Sunninghill home, Aubrey Cecil began offering Painting & Decorating services locally and formally registered A.C. Beck Contracts.

1974

Son of Aubrey Cecil, John Beck becomes Managing Director as his father retires after successfully starting the company and running for 21 years.

1991

A.C.Beck win the decoration contract for the newly built Disneyland Paris, taking 20 decorators to France for a 14 week contract.

1996

With John's retirement, age 60, Stephen becomes Managing Director of A.C.Beck & Son alongside his brother Robin as Commercial Director.

2003

A.C.Beck celebrate 50 years. Fields of Reading Ltd, a major name in painting and decorating were purchased to add to the the A.C. Beck portfolio.

2013

Successfully tendering & winning the companies largest project to date at Fitzroy Place, for Sir Robert McAlpine. A project in the heart of London consisting of 8 blocks.

2021

A.C.Beck were granted the Royal Warrant By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen as recognition for Painting, Decorating & Building Services.

2023

A.C.Beck celebrate 70 years in the construction industry providing painting and refurbishment services. This is just after the economy is affected by COVID-19.

By prioritising all employees with access too appropriate training, it gives everyone a great opportunity to develop their skills.

In addition to required health & safety training, we also run frequent training for IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, RepairCare & other specifically developed programmes for surveyors.

We hired A.C. Beck as our decorators to work on painting 221 apartments and papering all the residential common areas. Once the pandemic hit they stayed with us throughout, helping with Aftercare as well as doing all the decoration for around 10 show apartments. Due to the quality of their work, in particular their papering, we also used them at our flagship Grosvenor Square development for a number of show apartments.
