AC Beck celebrate 70 years in the business.
This year A. C. Beck & Son are celebrating 70 years in the construction industry providing painting and refurbishment services.
Aubrey Cecil Beck left his employment as a bus driver and started painting with his cousin Tom. In 1953 from his home in Sunninghill Aubrey started to work on his own and formally registered AC Beck Contracts.
1978 sees AC Beck become a Limited company. The next year Steve Beck joins the company age 22 along with brothers Jonathan and Robin.
Many prestigious projects have been won by the company such as Euro Disney, Fitzroy, Harrods & working for the Royal Household.
Steve’s father John retires from AC Beck and Steve becomes Managing Director in 1996. In that same year a project for Planet Hollywood which takes us to many sites over Paris, Oberhausen, Berlin and Amsterdam. AC Beck also receive the First National Award for Selfridges.
In 2008 AC Beck formally setup the Refurbishment division of the company therefore offering a full repair and redecoration service. In the same year they are certified with ISO9001.
Steve’s son Luke becomes a Director in 2021 in the same year the companies hard work leads them to acquire the Royal Warrant.
The company has stayed in the family for the whole of its existence and they very committed to the painting and decorating industry. Today AC Beck’s 50 employees cover London and the South East.
