Over the past 10 years, AC Beck has supported more than 20 apprenticeships in painting and decorating and exterior renovation.

We take on two new apprentices every year. Each AC Beck apprentice follows a 2 year programme, with the option to extend their training to a third year. We also give all our apprentices the opportunity to attend a college course in painting.

Careers at AC Beck

Like most AC Beck apprentices, Colin Holland stayed with the company after his apprenticeship as a painter. Ten years on, he’s now a supervisor, having worked his way through the ranks:

"My apprenticeship at AC Beck set me up for working independently in the industry. When I completed my training I left the company to gain some experience, but after a while I decided to ask AC Beck if they would have me back. Since then I’ve progressed from a foreman to a supervisor. The job is varied. I meet lots of interesting people and have to think on my feet. There’s no doubt the apprenticeship has enabled me to cope with the challenges I face at work."
