Dulux Most Trusted Decorator award for large contractors

Malcolm Vinson, one of AC Becks most senior Foreman has recently been awarded the Dulux Most Trusted Decorator Award in the large contractors category. The award, designed to showcase the more personal side of the trade in areas such as integrity, loyalty and trust exemplifies those qualities that are often overlooked in the modern industry.

Malcolm triumphed in a competition that attracted hundreds of entries culminating in the awards night in Manchester on 7^th February.

On the back of the success of the awards first year, Dulux look forward to repeating that success in the years to come.

Community Day helps to boost ward projects

Wates Community Day is a national event organised by Wates Group, allowing members of staff to be released from building sites and offices to deliver projects for Charitable Organisations within the community, last year contributing over 8,000 hours of hard work to over 70 Charitable Organisations. With this year’s Community Day focusing on the theme of ‘Delivering for Communities’, Wates Group worked closely with Southampton Hospital Charity, to establish the most beneficial projects across Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, which covers Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Hospital.

ACBeck were pleased to be involved and provided labour and materials free of charge on the day to assist in the decoration and refurbishment of a number of rooms to help enhance the staff and patient experience on the wards.

Little Ealing School

AC Beck provided all required equipment (access), materials and labour for the day, to carry out the redecoration of the woodwork in white and the walls in cream and the ceiling in white to one of the rooms on the first floor of the existing school buildings at Little Ealing School. The floor is also to be re-carpeted by others on the day.

Henley Town Hall

AC Beck have been awarded the prestigious contract for the External Refurbishment of Henley Town Hall which entails scaffolding the entire external elevations, carrying out any repairs and redecorating the windows, downpipes, bell tower etc. The works also include removing, painting, greasing and replacing the weather-vane. The works start in August and complete in September.
